Chewy Caramel Cookies!

These cookies are divine! Not only are they some of the best tasting cookies I have ever tried, they are easy to make and only involve a few basic ingredients. How amazing! The extra caramel candies and chocolate pieces also make these cookies next level amazing.

Ingredients


60 g - Unsalted butter 
1/3 cup -  Golden syrup 
1/3 cup - Brown sugar 
1 1/2 - Self - raising flour, sifted 
Soft caramel candies and chocolate to decorate 

Directions

Preheat your oven to 180ºC. Place the butter, golden syrup and sugar in a saucepan over low heat and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Set aside to cool. Add the flour to the butter mixture in a separate bowl and mix until a smooth dough forms. Then refrigerate dough for 10 - 15 minutes or until slightly cool (you will find the dough quite warm beforehand). 

Roll dough into balls and place on baking trays lined with non-stick baking paper. Press to flatten and top each with half a caramel candy or chocolate (both taste incredible). Bake for 10–12 minutes or until golden. Allow to cool on the trays. Enjoy.
